John Rusnak is a pianist, composer and music producer based in Los Angeles.

His new album Blue is available now.

John Rusnak’s solo work is featured in motion pictures and television, and he is much in demand as a studio recording musician. He released a new album in 2020, Blue, featuring his original film music. He composed the score for the award winning film Sin Fronteras, which premiered at Laemmle Theaters in 2019.

Recognized as a solo pianist, John Rusnak’s albums Chopin Etudes, and J.S. Bach: Goldberg Variations, BWV 988, have become staples of the classical music genre and have garnered international acclaim. Peter Wells of eMusic.com described John’s recording of Chopin Etudes as "sheer exuberance and optimism," and wrote of his Goldberg Variations as having "reverence and fire." John recorded Beethoven's “Moonlight Sonata” for the 2020 Emmy Nominated PBS film Chasing The Moon. He has recorded on soundtracks for MGM, Sony, CW Network, Showtime, Rysher Entertainment, PBS, Hollywood Pictures and others. John is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.

John's recorded playing styles are vast, including classical, pop, jazz, ambient and rock.

His many live performances include an internationally televised Papal concert at the Vatican on the last Christmas Day of the past Millennium. In 2016, he was a soloist with the Los Angeles Virtuosi Orchestra (LAV), performing harpsichord on Frank Martin's Petite Symphonie Concertante. He has in recent years performed the Finzi Eclogue for Piano and Strings, Opus 10, the Shostakovich Piano Concerto in C minor, Opus 35, and Beethoven’s “Archduke” Trio in 2020, for the Culver City Chamber Orchestra Concert Series. John has performed and/or recorded as a piano accompanist for many vocal artists including Metropolitan Opera Tenor Vittorio Grigolo, Grammy winner Siedah Garrett, and Tenor Paul Sorvino. Sin Fronteras - Award Winning Short Film
